A Homemade Life - Memoir/Cookbook

A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes from My Kitchen Table
I love to read about food.  I read cookbooks, food magazine, culinary mysteries and chef memoirs.  I also follow several food blogs.  One blog I follow, Orangette, is written by Molly Wizenberg.  She also hosts a podcast and writes articles for Bon Appetit Magazine.  I'm reading her book, A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes from My Kitchen Table and wanted to share it with you.

There are 45 vignettes in the book, each with an accompanying recipe.  Molly shares stories about growing up in a "foodie" family, changing course from a life of academia to culinary writing, and meeting her husband as a result of her blog.  The stories are charming and the recipes enticing.  I may try the oatmeal pancakes this weekend.

The book is a quick read.  Delightful anecdotes with the bonus of  mouth-watering recipes.
