Some friends organize an Olympic-style contest every summer at their lake house. About 70 people of multiple generations compete in teams. The winning team has their team name engraved on the silver Commemorative Bowl.
I decided to photograph the event with the Hipstamatic iphone App. It gives a very 1970's, Polaroid, retro look to your photos. The images take on a dreamy quality.
Opening ceremonies included reading of the rules, singing the National Anthem and an original cheer by each team.
