I am smitten with the refreshing flavors of the Grapefruit-Basil Martini.
Normally I don't order cocktails but the flavor combination of grapefruit and basil had me curious.
This martini couldn't be more simple. I got this easy recipe from Food & Wine.
In a cocktail shaker, muddle 1/4 of an unpeeled grapefruit that has been cut into pieces and 2 basil leaves. Add 1/2 ounce simple syrup, 2 1/2 ounces vodka and ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with one perfect basil leaf. Enjoy!
